Greg is an entrepreneur who specialises in identifying and entering new markets. He made his first foray into business at the age of 16 while still at school and has since amassed 12 years of diverse experience managing a range of businesses. As a result, Greg knew firsthand the difficulties faced by small businesses in accessing finance, and founded Prospa in 2011 to change the experience for small business owners. Greg and co-founder Beau Bertoli could see how using the internet to provide 24/7 accessibility, coupled with clever data analysis to assess risk differently, would enable Prospa to say ‘yes’ more often, and much more quickly. Prospa is now Australia’s leading online small business lender. In the five years since its establishment, Prospa has lent over $350m to thousands of small businesses in Australia. In February Prospa secured $25 million in funding led by AirTree Ventures, in what has been described as the biggest Fintech VC funding investment in Australia, and as a “coming of age” for Australian Fintech. Prospa ranked 31st globally as an innovator in the finance sector by KPMG's FinTech100 for 2016 and in 2017 Prospa was a Telstra Business Awards NSW category winner. Moshal and Prospa co-founder Beau Bertoli were joint winners of the Fintech leader of the year award at Fintech Australia’s inaugural awards event in May, where Prospa also won best Fintech place to work. Greg’s experience in fast-moving environments has sharpened his focus on innovation. He is a champion of agile, holistic design thinking, where disruptive change can make things that are difficult, easy. His specialty is partnering strategically with the best people to achieve excellence in developing and bringing business ideas to life.
