I'm an entrepreneur, innovation and design thinking facilitator, keynote speaker, and strategic communications consultant harnessing cross-disciplinary thinking to solve complex business issues, design innovative solutions, shift mindsets and build purpose-led startups, communities and cultures. Co-Founder & CEO of Edtech startup Girledworld, Founder Do Re Me Creative, and with a background in omnichannel strategic communications, I recently completed a Master of Entrepreneurship at the University of Melbourne's Wade Institute for Entrepreneurship. Passionate about startups and the commercialisation of innovation, I was recently in Silicon Valley where I deep-dove the think labs, Lean-Agile approaches and exponential tech of Google, Airbnb, Twitter, Tesla, IDEO, Box, Silicon Valley Robotics, Singularity University and other game-changers - further fuelling my startup, future cities and innovation engine. Committed to diversity drivers, values-led leadership and enterprise skillsets, I co-founded girledworld to build the next Gen of female leaders, founders and STEM champions. I also provide business mentorship to early stage startups, FYA, #3DayStartup and Everwise (Atlassian & Zendesk) across APAC. Trained as a 3DayStartup and Innovation Facilitator (Inventium Innovation Methodology + IDEO Design Thinking Facilitator), I spent 15 years in journalism, digital media and PR (News Corp, Herald-Sun, Nine Network, ACP) before founding Do Re Me Creative to spark ideas, revive brands and engage audiences with human-centered design. I believe in the power of storytelling and its capacity to ignite change, and that we need more humanity, innovation, collaboration and diversification to drive rapid growth, shake up status quo and mine the human-centric stuff that matters. I hold Board Directorships for HRAFF and Cool Australia Education, YGAP's 'SHE' team and NewCo Melbourne Advisory Council and remain driven by finding HCD solutions to real world problems.
