Senior Trade & Investment Advisor, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Australia
I am a Senior Trade & Investment Advisor for fintech at Austrade since June 2017. My remit is to support Australian fintech/blockchain/AI companies to go global and assist foreign companies in these verticals into Australia. Before being appointed at Austrade, I work at the UK Department for International Trade as an investment manager for 4 years covering international health, financial services, cyber security, education, energy, and advanced manufacturing. In that role, I was the fintech champion for Australia and New Zealand and successfully ran Australia’s very first fintech mission to the UK and Australia’s first start up games. I am also a mentor at the Blockchain Centre in Melbourne for their recent accelerator program.
I have worked in fintech for over 5 years as a super connector with deep in insights into payments, lending, regtech, insurtech and how blockchain and AI intersects with this. My current role in Boston will be to lead disruptive technology effort and support US companies into Australia as well as profiling Australia in this area.
I hold a masters in international relations and a bachelor of economics and finance. Before joining Government, I worked in the superannuation industry at KPMG.
