In 1996 Ruth began her career working for a Big 4, then migrated to the broking sector in 2006. Ruth invested her own money to start up Moneycatcha in 2015, built her first platform with no technical background and was invited into KPMG’s first Fintech Accelerator Program in 2016 to help financial institutions solve problems loan origination, risk and regulatory reporting. In 2018, Moneycatcha was named Compliance Innovator of the Year by Fintech Business as well as Start Up Business of the Year by Business News. More recently, Ruth was listed as one of the AFR Qantas 100 Women of Influence and in 2019 won the Fintech Business – Business Excellence Award for an Individual. Moneycatcha now has worked with a number of financial and government organisations to improve how they optimise, report on and manage risk of data in their businesses.
